GeoToll is a transportation technology and services company created in 2012 to provide toll facility operators and the driving public with a new customer-focused RFID-based mobile solution to pay tolls.
GeoToll’s solution brings interoperability’s full benefits to the electronic tolling industry by leveraging the growing ubiquity of the most widespread electronic device on the planet – the smartphone – and merging it with the proven RFID-based tolling protocols that exist now.
GeoToll’s solution follows a three-part approach:
- RFID and Account-Based systems that answer key concerns about new tolling technology: security, accuracy in identifying the toll transaction and guaranteeing all payments.
- Opt-in ETC growth where the existing toll system remains in place with new users utilizing the GeoToll application (app) which is feature-rich, customizable and resides on their smartphone.
- Flexible Back Office Services with the option of outsourcing customer service and account management to GeoToll, if desired.
GeoToll intends to work with toll operators and their system integrators to offer an interoperable mobile payment solution that will be more dynamic, user friendly and less costly than standard tag-based systems now in place.
